MDG is Making a Difference in Literacy

Oakville, Canada, March 30, 2008

MDG Computers Canada Inc. played a lead role in the seventh annual ‘Make a Difference in Literacy and Beyond’ parent conference at Mississauga Secondary School held on Saturday March 29th.   As a Co-Presenter, MDG donated a sum of $10,000 to help make this worthy event a success for its seventh consecutive year.  The event was presented by the Peel District School Board, The Literacy and Numeracy Secretariat of the Ontario Ministry of Education and MDG Computers Canada Inc.

Well over 1,200 parents attended the event, which speaks to the interest and success of the seventh annual Make a Difference in Literacy conference.  Parents from all across Peel arrived at the conference to help find new ways to help their children succeed in school.   “Like these parents, MDG understands the importance of literacy and is proud to put its support behind such a significant cause”, says Brian Monette, President of MDG.   “We are currently investing substantially in education and literacy across Canada, as we know how this directly effects our economy”, added Monette.

MDG has been working with Peel District School Board with its technical needs, over the past six years forming a strong relationship.  Plans going forward have placed a major priority on the educational space.
